Gwyneth Paltrow Detox Diet Recipes
If you are looking for Detox Diet Recipes, check out these healthy and nutritious detoxification recipes from celebrity Gwyneth Paltrow.
Gwyneth Paltrow has made headlines for getting into the best shape of her life after having had two babies by working with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson and her sometimes detox diets.
Whether you need to lose weight for an event, are having trouble losing post-pregnancy weight or just want to slim down - check out these recipes provided by Gwyneth Paltrow for losing weight quickly but in a healthy and natural way without starving yourself.
Although she provided quite a few recipes, one for a ginger sesame salad, a broccoli and arugula soup and more - she also offers some easy to make delicious steamed salmon, protein and green shakes and more. I will include a few of Gwyneth's recipes here to help with your diet or detox plan. Gwyneth enjoys food and likes to be able to eat what she wants so usually she enjoys all different foods but works out using the Tracy Anderson method of dance cardio and strength training each day. However, if she needs to get in shape quickly, drop weight fast for a film or red carpet appearance - she uses a quick detox diet with recipes like these or she often uses the Clean program nourish and move powders in shakes during a detox.
Detox Teriyaki Chicken
She says this sauce for the chicken is detox worthy because it doesn't use sugar or soy but has tons of flavor and the perfect consistency
Serves:1
Time: 20 minutes + time for marinating
Teriyaki Sauce:
1/3 c balsamic vinegar
1/3 c agave nectar
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 tsp barley miso
1 tsp mirin
1 Tbsp water
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Combine balsamic, agave, ginger and peper in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower to simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Cool, then add miso, mirin and water.
Chicken:
1 chicken breast
1 finely chopped scallion
Detox terriyai sauce
4 sprigs cilantro, roughly chopped
Marinate the chicken in the sauce (reserve a spoonful or two) for at least an hour to overnight.
Heat your grill to medium heat. Wipe off excess marinade and grill chicken for about 3-4 minutes per side or until cooked through. Serve with the reserved sauce (that hasn't touched the raw chicken) and the scallions and cilantro.
Blueberry and Almond Smoothie
You could use any fruit for this to make it your favorite fruit smoothie. You can substitute the almond milk with rice milk or coconut milk too - there is a lot of freedom for this detox recipe.
Serves: 1
Time: 5 minutes
1 scoop of complete nutritional whey (you can use any whey protein powder - we recommend Energy First protein powder that is low in calories, high in protein and made with stevia and no artificial junk or sweeteners)
1 scoop of a progreens type of powder - you could also use hemp protein powder but preferably a greens powder with probiotics
1/2 cup blueberries or other fruit
1 1/2 cups almond milk
Blend everything together in the blender until smooth
Gwyneth Paltrow's Super Greens Juice
Serves: 1
Time: 5 minutes
1 cup tightly packed kale
4 stalks celery
1" piece of fresh ginger
1 1/2 pears cut into large pieces
1/2 lemon, zest and pith removed
Juice everything into a glass (make sure to alternate the kale with other ingredients to help it get through the juicer easily.) Stir the juice before you drink it.
Because you will need lots of vitamins and nutrients during your diet and detox no matter what diet or weight loss plan you are doing, it is great to have vitamin rich smoothies, shakes and drinks that you can make at home.
Beet Carrot Apple and Ginger Juice
If you want a vibrant juice that has bright color and is wonderfully sweet, try this rich juice. Beets are good for lowering blood pressure, carrots are full of vitamins and apples are said to help fight cancer. Ginger also has health benefits.
Serves: 1
Time: 5 minutes
1 large or 2 medium beets, cut into wedges
2 large carrots
1 large apple, cut into wedges
1/2 lemon, zest and pith removed
1" piece of ginger
Juice everything into a glass -stir and enjoy. You could also put all of these in a blender with some ice and water for a beet carrot ginger smoothie.
Detoxing your body can be very healthy but it is important to make sure you are getting enough nutrients. Follow Gwyneth Paltrow's lead and try her healthy delicious and nutritious smoothies and detox diet recipes.

Weight Loss Tips: Move and Nourish Powders That Gwyneth Used
Weight Loss Tips: Have You Tried the Move and Nourish Powders that Gwyneth Used?

Don't miss Tracy Anderson's new book available now!! Tracy Anderson's 30-Day Method: The Weight-Loss Kick-Start that Makes Perfection Possible
In Gwyneth’s recent GOOP newsletter, she told us exactly how she got in the best shape of her life for her Iron Man 2 role and appearances. Not many celebrities are cool enough to share their exact plans making her a fav! Gwyneth shares her weight loss tips and how to drop a few pounds in a hurry with the help of the clean program and her trainer.
In one of her previous newsletters, Gwyneth shared her weight loss tips with the scoop on the Clean detox program. She shared that she did it to get rid of some extra weight she’d gained in a 21 day detox plan that left her feeling lighter and better but without the extremity of an all-liquid detox.
The doctor behind the clean program and the move and nourish powders and the clean program detox is Dr. Alejandro Junger. He created the plan because of his own experience after medical school, when his own weight gain left him feeling depressed and not himself. After many doctors visits and the diagnosis that his brain was not producing enough serotonin and tons of prescription meds offered, he decided that wasn’t for him. Brain altering drugs weren't what the doctor had in mind for weight loss. He went to a clinic and did a 2-week juice detox and lost the weight and felt amazing and looked 10 years younger. He later created his 3 week cleanse program. The clean detox cleansing program isn’t cheap. It’s $350 + shipping currently but you can buy clean products individually if you want to utilize the move and nourish powders that Gwyneth uses in her five-day quickie diet. Or, if you want to try something different and cheaper - you can check out the hemp protein powder that I use in place of the nourish powder here. At the end of the post, I list a few more affordable options to use as alternatives to the nourish and move powders.
The Nourish powder is a medical food with rice carbohydrates, loaded with antioxidants and nutrients to serve as a healthy protein during your diet. It is to be used in smoothies or shakes like those on Gwyneth’s five day diet. Nourish powder is available in two flavors – a chocolate orange nourish powder or a tropical mango powder.
The Nourish and Move powders work well together to make for a good weight loss and health detox jump starter.
The Move powder is a high fiber powder that works with the nourish powder to encourage healthy bowel movements during your detoxification diet. With low allergy potential and high fiber from various sources, this addition to your weight loss shakes and smoothies is invaluable.
If money is preventing you from purchasing the nourish and move powders, consider substituting them with similar products. Of the weight loss tips I've gotten, one of the best is to not let obstacles stand in your way. Starting immediately while you have momentum is one of the tips worth following. I use a hemp protein powder that I'm really happy with. It has tons of health benefits and is really delicious in the morning smoothie recipe that Gwyneth does. This is it, click here. Or, look for other affordable protein powders with healthy nutrients and protein. I list a couple of sources at the bottom of the post that are well priced alternatives that I found. Instead of the move powder, find a substitute fiber powder at your local grocery or health food store to help with your cleansing process. Nourish and move powders by Dr. Alejandro Junger are definitely ideal but if budget or schedule prohibits that, don't let it stop you from doing the five-day cleanse - substitute the best you can!
However, if you can do it, follow Gwyneth’s exact plan use her weight loss tips - she obviously got results. Get the move and nourish powders from the source or do your own clean program 21 day detox now to jump-start your weight loss. Check out my other posts on the right for more info and tips on Gwyneth’s five-day diet, her Iron Man 2 workout plan, the video workout (which is amazing) or any of the Tracy Anderson workouts and diet plans.
Alternatives to nourish and move powders for quick weight loss:
Hemp Protein Powder , Sun Warrior Vanilla Powder
This next one could possibly replace both the move and the nourish powders as it has an additional fiber powder in it:
Good luck! For more weight loss tips check out other posts on how to lose weight fast and easy.

Tracy Anderson GOOP Arm Webisode review
Tracy Anderson GOOP Arm Webisode
A brief review about Tracy Anderson's five minute arm webisode which you can get free courtesy of Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP website - I will also post it below.
With summer fast approaching, you may be feeling the urge to tone things up a bit. Tracy Anderson may be just what the doctor ordered. Tracy is Gwyneth Paltrow's personal trainer and has also worked with Madonna and several other celebrities with hot bodies. Her niche is that she vows to make every woman "teeny tiny". Anderson was a dancer and struggled with her weight and basically tried everything but on her 5 foot frame, just about every exercise plan out there created bulk.
Most people who are working out to lose weight in addition to staying healthy are striving for the same thing - the toned, sculpted, long lean dancer body.
Tracy Anderson has worked with Gwyneth Paltrow for years - Paltrow says that her trainer is responsible for "kicking her formerly sagging ass into shape". Oprah featured Gwyneth and Tracy Anderson on her show and discussed the method that Tracy uses to change the bodies of women all over the world. Tracy worked with Madonna for a long time but according to recent reports, she no longer trains Madonna and there is an alleged feud between former BFFs Paltrow and Madonna. But we don't need to go into that here.
The point is, that Tracy Anderson has obviously had success in getting the results she wants, the results you are looking for. So, without further chatter - a review of the GOOP arm webisode. When you first watch it, if you haven't done the Tracy Anderson method, you will probably think it is a joke. It looks like waving arms, and flapping and doesn't seem like something that would help your arms.
Don't let that deceive you - if you are hitting the movements correctly and as if you are "performing" them, you will feel the muscles in your arms the next day most likely. The exercises are very specifically designed to get the arms that Tracy wants - the long, lean muscles with no bulk and no sagging skin. This video was sent by Tracy to Gwyneth as she was training for Iron Man. Based on her appearance in the movie - this is one worth checking out. If you are familiar with the arm workouts from any of Tracy Anderson's DVDs or other webisodes, you will recognize some of the moves but she also adds in a lot of strong arm movements to add variety and work different muscles in the arms. She noted that this specific webisode created for Gwyneth's GOOP audience was made to target batwings, that lovely flab on the back side of the arms. Work the batwings it does, but you have to create resistance, finish each motion so that you engage all of the muscles and perform.
The music is "Knock You Down" by Keri Hilson featuring Ne-yo and Kanye West. I think that the music works well and makes you want to really push and perform the movements which makes the results better.
Doing this super short webisode alone is not going to change your body but if you combine it with diet and/or cardio, it's a good addition. You can watch the free Tracy Anderson webisode here:
Post in the comments if you have tried the GOOP arm webisode and what you think about it - I wish there were more of them. You can also read my review about the Tracy Anderson Mat Workout DVD here.
